A message from Extras! Management regarding COVID-19

Hey folks,

We just wanted to get a message out there regarding our plans for billing as we wait out this temporary hiatus due to the COVID-19 shut down. Rest assured, we are in this together. We understand everyone has concerns, and worrying if your service has your back shouldn’t be one of them. As I said in one of my earlier communications, this is a very fluid situation and we will all need to just roll with the punches and adapt as things change.

Billing for March will be per our usual billing policy, with the exception of no late fee charges for clients that were not able to pay their March service fee. All active accounts will be reviewed on April 1st and anyone that was not successful in obtaining work in March will be issued the appropriate credit for March. We will not charge or invoice active accounts for April until the industry is cleared to resume filming. At that point we will issue prorated invoices based on the remaining days left in that month. All active clients will have an unavailable exception in their file until they notify us that they are ready to have us resume submitting them for work. Accounts that are on freeze will be billed and invoiced at the freeze rate for the April billing cycle.

Based on my conversations with casting and their feedback from production, things are going to come back and ramp up fast as soon as the ban on social gathering is lifted. I will continue to send everyone updates as they become available so that you can plan accordingly.

At this time we ask that everyone follow the directives from our local, state and national leaders. Their plan to slow the spread of the pandemic though social distancing is a valid strategy to get things back to normal as soon as safely possible. We are in this together and all must do our part to fight this invisible but formidable enemy.

On a personal note, I want to thank each and every one of you that continues to put your faith and trust in our ability to manage your success in this industry. We are proud to represent the best background players Hollywood has to offer. I have been overwhelmed by the emails of thanks, support and well wishes.

Once again, please heed the advice of the professionals that have our best interest in mind. Avoid large gatherings, practice social distancing whenever possible and please don’t hoard those items that we all need to survive comfortably. Wash or sanitize your hands often and try not to touch your face, mouth or eyes. Most of all keep a level head and don’t panic. In the mean time...
