Sandra and I wanted to take a minute to share some exciting news for a change. In the months since the industry has been down due to COVID19 our staff has been training, testing and troubleshooting our new software system. It’s been over three years in the making, but well worth the time and every penny spent. This new platform gives us a state-of-the-art system with powerful tools for casting and some exciting features you will be able to use on the website. We currently have the log in feature on the website temporarily deactivated as we finish up transitioning all of our 30 plus years of data history over. In the very near future you will be able to update your future availability and even make payments or change your credit card on file right from your online profile. This new system gives us much more flexibility in many areas and has allowed us to eliminate not only our third-party software provider but our off-site accounting contractor as well.
This new resource allowed us to overhaul our billing system and retool our fee structure to better suit the recent and coming changes to the industry. Our new rate structure is based on your schedule and the days we show you available for submission to casting. I have lowered the maximum amount you can be charged for full time availability down to $75 for those 54 years of age or younger, and $60 for those 55 and over. We will still provide a courtesy retention credit in the following month based on your prior months availability and booking success. We have increased the maximum credit to $50, potentially bringing your monthly fee down to $25 if you are fully available and are not successful in getting work. Gone are the days of disputes and finger pointing over who is responsible for the booking. We are a team, and are in this together! It matters not who is perceived responsible for the booking, only that you were able to get work. I have long understood that the constant exposure we provide talent to casting results in you getting booked more often irrespective of you thinking your one lucky call to casting resulted in them putting you on their skins. They trust us and know if you are with us you have been vetted and can be considered only the most reliable Hollywood has to offer.
Over the next day you will be receiving an email from our accounting@ExtrasMngt.com account via HelloSign digital forms processing. We ask that you carefully read over the various levels of availability status, choose your rate plan and your standard weekly availability. Once you digitally sign the form it will be routed back here to the office where we will confirm your status as “active” and continue submitting you for the work we have been told is coming back on line in September. Only those that complete and return the form will continue to be active in the new system.
As you know, Sandra and I made a commitment to our loyal friends and continued to provide service and worked on your behalf free of charge, without billing or expectation of compensation during these trying times. We know personally how difficult these past several months have been, as they have been difficult for us as well. Those of you that we were fortunate enough to find work for in July and August are more than welcome make a payment of any amount over the next few days if you should find a desire in your heart to support our efforts. As a gift to my loyal clients that stuck with us through these difficult times, I am waiving ANY and ALL past due account balances and giving everyone a clean slate to start fresh. This offer stands for everyone that is currently active in the system; “available”, “not available” or on “freeze” even if they wish to remain on freeze. For those that recently responded as not yet being comfortable to be made available for submission, you have the option of putting your account on “freeze” to keep your profile active in the system. That way you don’t have to resubmit and hope we have a spot for you when you are ready to get back in the game. Remember, I limit the number of spots I have in each category so as to have a better chance of booking the loyal clients we have that sick with us.
Only those that respond that they wish to remain part of our service will remain or be made active. If you do not respond we unfortunately will need to remove you from active status and will not be able to honor offer to waive past due balances at a future date.
